आओ ना थोड़ा हम भी जी ले,

कहा जी पा रहे है हम,

आज की फिल्में थोड़ा सुकून ही देती है,

उस पर भी पुराने गीतों को,

नयी शक्ल में ढाल दिया जाता है

पर वो मिठास और वो अंदाज नही,

जो रात कली इक ख्वाब में आयी में था,

सांवली सूरत में था,

हाथों में किताब और बालों में गुलाब में था,

दो चोटियों से खेलती ,

रेखा की शोखियों में था,

पल पल दिल के पास तुम रहती हो,

प्रेम पत्रों के पीछे भागती,

राखी के शर्मीलेपन में था,

राज कपूर के आवारा भोले अंदाज में था,

रिमझिम चले सावन में मौसमी के दांतों में था,

भीगे भीगे अमिताभ की आँखों की गहराई में था,

होंठ का कोना दबाते जितेंद्र की,

आशिकी में था,

सूनी सड़क के कोने पर इंतजार करती,

लड़की की घबराहट में था,

पी लेती हूँ, खो जाती हूँ,

उस अनोखे प्रेम के सुरूर में,

थोड़ा ख्बाबों में ही जीये,

आओ थोड़ा हम भी जी ले !
